Something small every day is the philosophy put forth in an article by author and creative, Austin Kleon. The article discusses the importance of working daily as an artist beyond what is deemed successful. I share my thoughts about the article here.
For my daily art today, I painted gouache on paper teacup in the Desert Rose pattern by Franciscan. My sister gave me her set that used to belong to my aunt- a vintage set made in California in the 1940’s. I love the colors and textures!
I am not new to 100 Day Challenges, but I tried one in 2017 and failed miserably.
I just started a new challenge for 2018 and I am determined to succeed this year. For the record, I have chosen to do 100 days of Art By Hand. I have decided that I will paint or draw for at least 15 minutes a day for 100 days. Yep, that’s all there is to it. Well, there’s a little more, but let’s not get into that in this post.
